THE PIT-FALLS OF LONG-TERM CONTRACTS

A typical billing service contract is for a term of 3-5 years. Contracts that go beyond that time-frame are not realistic and generally are designed to maximize corporate profits – not customer benefits. Intellimeter is committed to providing an excellent service at a fair and reasonable price. We provide clients with personalized customer care, a website where they can track their consumption both to-the-day and historically, and payment choices that include cheque, on-line, ATM and automatic withdraw.

WHAT IS A "CHARGE FOR SYSTEM USE"?

A demand charge is the charge the metering company has levied against a tenant for the privilege of purchasing power. Some companies will make a deal with the developer or property owner to "buy" the wiring infrastructure in a multi-tenant building when the metering system is installed. These arrangements are typical of the "free" metering system. Once they have done this, tenants may be charged demand fee on every energy bill forever. Priority Submetering Solutions does not enter into these deals, and does not have a charge for system use based on kWh.
