CORPORATE HISTORY

Intellimeter was founded in 1991 by its president, Warren Beacom.

The company began distributing meters in the early 1990s and through the growth of its product development division, has been producing its own meters for over a decade.

Intellimeter was proud to represent Canada in a Team Canada trade mission to Washington, DC in 2001.

The company's commitment to quality was further recognized by Measurement Canada in 2002, when Intellimeter was given full accreditation as a meter testing and sealing facility. This is a status usually reserved for utilities and very large corporations. This accreditation was re-affirmed in 2005.

Intellimeter is known for its quality products, its outstanding service, and its ethical treatment of all who come in contact with the organization.

Information About Measurement Canada

THE ROLE OF MEASUREMENT CANADA

Measurement Canada has exclusive authority over the administration and enforcement of the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act and the Weights and Measures Act as per the Government of Canada. Measurement Canada ensures a fair and level playing field for all those who desire to meter any utility for commercial purposes anywhere in Canada.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE ACCREDITED

The mark of accreditation by Measurement Canada ensures that the highest standards of accuracy for metering have been achieved and that the conditions and specifications of the Electricity and Gas Inspection Act and the Weights and Measures Act have been met.

HOW ACCREDITATION SERVES OUR CUSTOMERS

Accreditation is of benefit to our customers, as it is a mark of quality and excellence above all others. As Intellimeter is a certified meter testing and sealing facility it also allows for a seamless installation process, eliminating the need to have another phase of system implementation.

Most organizations which are accredited in Canada are publicly-owned utilities and large, publicly traded companies. While Intellimeter is a growing, privately-owned company, Measurement Canada certification has been achieved through diligence and hard work that pays off for our customers.
